Aethra drops her ring into the crack of the Rock.
Aethra: Can you move that rock?
Theseus lifts up the rock and takes the ring, the sword, and the sandals.
Aethra: Those were left there by your father. His name is Aegues, the king of Athens. Bring the sword and the sandals to your father and tell him where you found them. You are the true heir to the throne of Athens.
Scene 2
Narrator: Theseus finally arrived in Athens and went to see his father. His father was remarried to a witch name Medea, but she quickly vanished in a cloud of smoke because of his arrival.
King Aegues: Oh Theseus, I’m so glad you’ve found me. You are my real on and the real heir of Athens.
Theseus shows him the shoes and the sword.
Theseus: My mother asked me to bring these to you.
King Aegues: Yes, I remember leaving those there under the rock. I’m your father and you are the true heir of Athens.
Narrator: The next day, Aegues’s jealous nephew ambushed Theseus on the way to the temple.
Theseus fights with one of Aegues’s nephew.
Scene 3
Narrator: Every year, the King must send seven boys and seven girls to be devoured by the Minotaur, who lives in the middle of the labyrinth.
King Aegues: It’s a shame that these young children must die for our country.
Theseus: I will take one of the boys’ place and defeat the Minotaur. I will raise a white sail if I killed him. If I get killed, then raise the black sail.
Scene 4
Narrator: When Theseus arrives, Minos’s daughter, Ariadne, falls in love with him. She drugs the guards and opens his cell.
Ariadne: If I help you kill the Minotaur, will you marry me?
Theseus: With pleasure.
Theseus takes her hand and kisses it.
Scene 5
Ariadne: I will lead you to the Minotaur. He lives in the middle of the maze and only sleeps for one hour a day at midnight only.
Theseus throws the magical ball of yarn and follows it throughout the maze. The Minotaur remains asleep. He found the beast and with his sword, sliced the beast’s head off.
Narrator: Theseus steals a ship and sailed off. He lands on Naxos and left Ariadne to get remarried with the god of wine. Theseus forgets to change the sail color and the his father jumped off a cliff and drowned in the sea.
Theseus receives the crown and became the new king of Athens.
Scene 6
Narrator: A few years later..
Theseus: I am the most courageous man of all!
Peirithous: Theseus, I’m in love with a beautiful woman. Will you help me to marry her?
Theseus: Who is she?
Peirithous: It’s Persephone.
Theseus: Isn’t she already married to Hades?
Peirithous: Yes, but she isn’t enjoying her life with him because she can’t have children with the God of the Dead.
Theseus: Alright then. Let’s go then!
Scene 7
Narrator: They traveled to the underworld and found Hades.
Hades: What are you humans doing here?
Theseus: I’m here to take Persephone back for my friend.
Peirithous: She isn’t happy with you.
Hades: That’s true that she isn’t happy. I might consider letting her go with you. Why won’t you humans sit down and we will talk about it?
Narrator: Theseus and Peirithous fell for Hade’s trick. His chairs were magical and it attached to them.
Hades: My poor fools! You are going to remain here forever!
